I started my career in the beer and wine wholesale industry—first in sales, then in HR supporting the people who kept the business moving: sales, warehouse, and transportation. That experience taught me how closely people practices connect to business performance, and how the right HR support can change the way a company operates.

Over the last 15+ years, I’ve carried that into roles across logistics, higher education, tribal government, and financial services. Today, through EKG HR Consulting, I help businesses strengthen their HR foundation—aligning compliance, culture, and performance so teams can do their best work.

Jerrell Rogers, SHRM-SCP, is a senior HR leader and consultant with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations navigate growth, change, compliance, and workforce transformation. His background spans wholesale distribution and logistics, financial services, higher education, and tribal government—giving him a uniquely well-rounded perspective on how HR strategy drives business performance across diverse environments.

Jerrell began his career in the beer and wine wholesale industry, where his work in sales and frontline operations built a foundation for understanding real-world organizational challenges. When he transitioned into Human Resources, he supported warehouse, transportation, and sales teams—gaining firsthand insight into how culture, leadership, and people processes affect operational results.

He progressed into advanced HR roles covering talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation alignment, compliance, change management, and HR technology. Throughout his career, Jerrell has consistently partnered with executives and department leaders to align people strategy with business priorities, strengthen leadership capability, and improve organizational outcomes.

As founder of EKG HR Consulting, Jerrell provides strategic HR guidance to business owners, executives, and HR teams. He specializes in building compliance readiness, designing scalable HR systems, leading workforce planning, and supporting organizations through periods of growth and transformation.
